Where Shishkat is

Shishkat lies between Attabad Lake and Gulmit. Driving north from Gilgit or Karimabad, you pass Attabad Lake and the tunnels, and Shishkat is immediately beyond them. Driving south from Sost or Passu, you reach Gulmit, cross the Gulmit–Shishkat RCC bridge and turn left where the bridge ends. The hotel faces Gulmit and looks out to the Passu Cones, the Hunza River and Ondra Fort.

Why stay in Gojal rather than Karimabad

Karimabad is the usual first stop in Hunza, and Baltit Fort is worth the visit. But most of the sights people travel to Hunza for, including Attabad Lake, Passu, Hussaini Bridge and Borith Lake, are in Gojal, further up the highway. Staying in Shishkat puts you at the start of that stretch each morning instead of an hour or more away from it.

How do I reach Shishkat from Gilgit?

Drive north on the Karakoram Highway through Karimabad and the Attabad tunnels. Shishkat is immediately beyond the tunnels. We can also arrange a transfer.

Can I cancel a booking?

Cancel more than 72 hours before arrival and there is nothing to pay. Inside 72 hours the first night is charged. If the highway is closed and you cannot reach us, we do not charge.
