Villa Darya is owned and run by a family from this valley. We live in Gojal year-round — through the winter as well as the season — and the people who meet you at the door are from Hunza, not posted here for the summer.

That is the difference between a local hotel and a room booked through a chain. The advice you get about the road, the pass and the weather is first-hand, and the hospitality is the valley's own rather than an imported version of it.

About 5 km, a short drive on sealed road. The hotel is in Shishkat on the Karakoram Highway, on the upper side of Attabad Lake in Gojal, Upper Hunza.

Can I see the Passu Cones from the hotel?

Yes. The hotel faces Gulmit and looks out to the Passu Cones, the Hunza River and Ondra Fort. The Passu Cones themselves are about 21 km north by road.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 11am. Early check-in and late check-out are free when the room allows it; if you will arrive late on the highway, tell us and we will keep someone up.

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast is included with every room. Lunch and dinner are cooked to order and charged separately.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 72 hours before arrival and there is nothing to pay. Inside 72 hours the first night is charged. If the Karakoram Highway is closed or your flight is cancelled and you cannot reach us, we do not charge.

Do you have rooms for families?

Yes. The Family Room sleeps up to three and the Executive Room up to two. Children under 5 stay free when sharing existing bedding.

How do I get to Villa Darya?

Drive north on the Karakoram Highway from Gilgit or Karimabad, through the Attabad tunnels; Shishkat is immediately beyond them. Coming south from Sost or Passu, drive through Gulmit, cross the Gulmit–Shishkat RCC bridge and turn left where the bridge ends. We can also arrange a transfer from Gilgit, Skardu or Sost.

Do you offer airport pick-up and drop-off?

Yes. We arrange pick-up and drop-off from Gilgit airport, Skardu airport and the border town of Sost. These are long drives, so transfers are charged by distance; contact us with your flight or arrival details for a quote.

How far is the Khunjerab Pass?

About 140 km north on the Karakoram Highway, which makes Villa Darya a practical base for a day trip to the Pakistan–China border.
